Security & Payment
Every order placed on FavorShopping.com is processed by a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment provider. This page explains the payment methods we accept, how your card details are protected, and what to do if a payment does not go through.
Accepted payment methods
We accept the following payment methods on FavorShopping.com:
- Credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express
- Digital wallets: Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay
- PayPal
All prices on our website are shown in US dollars (USD), and every order is charged in USD. If your card or PayPal account is held in another currency, your bank sets the exchange rate and may add a foreign transaction fee.
The options shown at checkout can vary slightly depending on your device, browser, and location. Any method displayed on the checkout page is available for your order.
Payment security
Does FavorShopping store my credit card details?
No. We never see or store your full card number, expiration date, or security code. When you place an order, your payment details are sent over an encrypted connection directly to our payment providers, Shopify Payments and PayPal, and are processed on their PCI DSS Level 1 certified systems. Our team can only see the card brand and the last four digits, which we use to match a payment to your order if you contact us about it.
Is my connection to your website secure?
Yes. Every page on FavorShopping.com is served over HTTPS, and all information exchanged between your browser and our store is encrypted with TLS. You can confirm this by looking for the padlock icon in your browser address bar.
What is a CVV number and where can I find it?
The CVV (Card Verification Value), sometimes labeled CVC or CID, is a short security code printed on your card. On Visa and Mastercard cards it is the 3-digit number on the back, next to the signature panel. On American Express cards it is the 4-digit number printed on the front.
This code helps confirm that the person placing the order physically has the card, which reduces the risk of fraud. It is required to complete a purchase, and under PCI DSS rules it is never stored after the transaction is authorized.
Why was I asked to verify my payment?
Your bank may ask you to confirm the transaction with a one-time code sent by SMS, email, or your banking app. This is a standard security step called 3-D Secure, and it is controlled entirely by your bank, not by our store. Once you complete the verification, checkout continues automatically.
For high-value orders we may also contact you by email or phone to confirm your billing and shipping details before the order ships. This protects both you and us against unauthorized use of your card.
Billing and charges
When is my card charged?
Your payment is authorized and charged when you place your order. You will receive an order confirmation email as soon as the payment is approved. If it does not arrive within a few minutes, please check your spam folder before contacting us.
Why do I see a pending charge, or more than one charge?
When a payment attempt fails, your bank may still place a temporary authorization hold on the funds. A hold is not a completed charge, and your bank releases it automatically, usually within 3 to 7 business days depending on the issuer. Only one charge is ever settled for a single order. If you see two settled charges for the same order number, contact us and we will refund the duplicate.
Is there a time limit for completing my payment?
No. Payment is completed as part of checkout, so there is no separate payment deadline and no order is canceled for late payment. Please note that items in your cart are not reserved until your order is placed, so a product can sell out while it is still sitting in your cart.
What will appear on my statement?
Charges from our store appear on your card or PayPal statement under the name FavorShopping. If you see a charge you do not recognize, please contact us with the amount and the date before opening a dispute with your bank. We can almost always identify the order right away and resolve it faster than a bank dispute, which can take 30 to 90 days. See Before Filing a Chargeback for details.
Payment problems
My card was declined. What should I do?
Declines are issued by your bank rather than by our store, and we do not receive the reason. Before trying again, please check the following:
- The card number, expiration date, and CVV are entered correctly, with no extra spaces.
- The billing address and ZIP or postal code match exactly what your bank has on file.
- Your card is enabled for online and international purchases. Many banks block these by default.
- Your available credit or account balance covers the full order total, including shipping and tax.
If everything looks correct, wait a few minutes and try again, or use a different card or PayPal. If the payment is still refused, call your card issuer using the number on the back of your card. They can tell you exactly why the transaction was blocked, and can often approve it while you are on the line.
My PayPal payment failed. What should I do?
Make sure the shipping address you enter at checkout matches the address confirmed on your PayPal account. Even a small difference, such as an extra space or a missing apartment number, can cause PayPal to refuse the payment. Also confirm that the card or bank account linked to your PayPal balance is still valid. For questions about your PayPal account itself, contact PayPal Customer Service through the Help section of your PayPal account.
I have tried everything and the payment still fails.
Please send us a screenshot of the error message, the last four digits of the card you used, and the approximate time of the attempt. Our team will identify the problem and, if necessary, send you a secure link to complete your purchase.
Email us at hello@favorshopping.com or use our contact page. We reply within 24 business hours.
Refunds, taxes, and duties
Refunds are returned to the original payment method, or you can choose store credit instead. Once your return is approved we process the refund within 1 to 4 business days, and your bank or PayPal usually takes another 5 to 10 business days to post it to your statement. For return eligibility, timelines, and the store credit option, please see our Return Policy. For sales tax, import duties, and customs charges, please see our Customs & Taxes page.
