Bathroom Chandeliers
A chandelier can give a bathroom the feel of a dressing room or a hotel suite. Start with the size of the room: in a compact bathroom, a small fixture keeps the space from feeling crowded, while a larger room with a freestanding tub, walk-in shower and double vanity can take a fuller piece.
Placement comes next. Hanging the fixture in front of the tub, or centered in the room, gives much the same look as hanging it directly overhead. Pair it with wall-mounted vanity lights for task lighting at the mirror, or choose a modern crystal chandelier for more sparkle.
Safety note: In the US, the National Electrical Code (NEC 410.10(D)) does not allow chain-, cable- or cord-suspended fixtures within 3 ft horizontally and 8 ft vertically of the top of a bathtub rim or shower threshold. Fixtures installed within the tub or shower area, up to 8 ft above the rim or threshold, must be marked for damp locations, or wet locations where exposed to shower spray. Follow your local electrical code, have the fixture installed by a licensed electrician, and ask us for a fixture's location rating if it is not listed on the product page.
